As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives. — Henry David Thoreau
When autumn arrived I was all set to put my new blogging and social networking plan into action. I was energized and ready to stride off down my own path and bring my online life into balance with my offline life. However, opportunity came knocking on my partner’s door and I found myself standing at a crossroads. After due consideration we made the joint decision to strike off down another path together.
For the last two months we have worked together to make our two-part project succeed. Part 1 is time constrained by a deadline that we must meet by the end of this month. If Part 1 is successful then Part II will give rise to a significant change in where we invest our time for several years.
For me there is only the traveling on paths that have heart, on any path that may have heart, and the only worthwhile challenge is to traverse its full length–and there I travel looking, looking breathlessly.” — Carlos Castaneda
What this has meant for me is that my blogs have been on the back burner. I simply haven’t been able to keep up with creating content, visiting blogs and commenting. When the new month arrives this will change but today I wanted to graciously thank all my readers for hanging in there.
I appreciate all you have given to me and others in all your posts over the years. Where ever the new road takes you, may it be filled with blessings. Looking forward to seeing you more down the road.
@Sandra
Thanks very much for the kind words. I do appreciate them. Once this Part I is over I will return to posting twice weekly in both blogs. :)
Wonderful quotes. I hope everything works out and goes well. It sounds like an exciting time in your life!
Thank you for your well wishes. It’s an exciting and exhausting time. For the last two days we were without power as a scary wind storm took down many lines. That set us back but we are determined to make the deadline no matter what. :)
Good luck dear Timethief wherever the road takes you – I feel a bit hobbity saying that but you know what I mean :)
@Joanna,
Thanks for the encouragement. :)
As a newer reader, I too wish you luck as well as wisdom.
Hello there,
Thank you. :)
Best of luck Timethief! Have courage!
Hi Cynthia
We are feeling very positive about this decision. Thanks for your support.
May your journey with your hubby outside of blogging be wAAAAAy better! And may you both continue to learn together.
I’m sure Christmas will be memorable, depending on the outcome. :) May you find reserves of personal energy. We will miss your friendly bloggy presence for now.
Hello Jean,
Thanks so much for your well wishes. I really appreciate this chance to help my husband accomplish this goal. We are tired but still strong and determined. :) This is good to be a great Christmas season — I can feel it. :)
I haven’t visited nearly as often as I’d like, but I understand crossroads – for changes in my life reduced my visits!
Best wishes with all that is ahead of you!
I love this look of this page now, by the way!
Hi Robyn,
When it comes to coping with changes I take my hat off to you and your family. :)
We have always had strong interest in what we are doing now. We have the knowledge base and drive it takes to carry this through. Most of all we won’t be looking back with regret at a lost oportunity. We are giving this our all.
P.S. Thanks for the theme compliment.
TT, sounds promising and exciting. I admire your flexibility in being able to make this sudden change in direction. I hope it all works out.
Hi Marty
It’s interesting and exciting and we are a great team. We always have been a great team and I’m grateful that we met and have this life together. I’m feeling confident.
Woo hoo! We succeeded and now we are very busy trying to catch up on making a living.
Yes, I tend to play catch-up on making a living too. Fortunately my partner is (was) so expert at that part that we balance well together. I encourage her creative projects in her retirement.
I like having you as a touchstone. You represent all the best in long-distance invisible communication and communion.
Thanks Mikey. We went through 4 power outages! The truck broke down and on and on and on but we made it! :)
As soon as I can be I’ll be blogging again.
Good luck on your journey Timethief. We’ll still be here :)
Hey there,
I’m back blogging and my husband’s project was a success. We’re getting ready for Winter Solstice.
Glad to hear it. :D
Thanks :)
