Thanks for pointing this post out! have to say it is easy to forget to go green on holidays and splurge on anything you want and using chemicals and so on. It’s good to know that there are many easy ways to have fun and think of the environment as well! A leopard sounds really cool! Will you have pictures ^_^!

Halloween isn’t a big holiday in Holland just yet. and everything that is organized is for the little ones. Unless you organize it with your friends. Unfortunately, my friends aren’t around, so no Halloween party. I will go trick & treating with my little cousin tho ^_^ and I have a cape….soo I will dress up as a…let me see…oh I know! A sophisticated Elf lady. Yes something like that haha.

Thanks so much for the well wishes. Coming up with a firefighter’s costume was easy. We live in a small community and have a volunteer fire department so many of of friends are volunteer fire fighters that it wasn’t hard to come up with worn out accouterments. As for me I didn’t have a clue what I would be for Halloween until I picked up and leopard spotted tunic in a secondhand shop and my friend picked up a leopard hat (helmet style) for a child. The helmet was too snug but whoever made it for their child had left generous seam allowances so I could easily let out the seams and make it fit and the tunic was my size. So I was well on my way to becoming a leopard in no time flat.

In the past I was heavily involved in making costumes for Halloween however, I’ve been in a slump regarding the festivities for the last few years and now I’ve bee drafted into helping out the preschoolers my enthusiasm is returning. Some of the parents have come up with some really creative ideas and I’m looking forward to this little party to see what the others have come yp with as well.
