Aviary mindtransfer-net Picture 1A backlink is defined as a link from one website pointing back to your site , and what every blog needs is one-way non-reciprocal backlinks. A blog meme is a viral game where you generate links and relationships through asking other bloggers  to participate. The changes Google has made to determining authority and PageRank means obtaining backlinks has become a challenge, and blog memes are legitimate means of securing backlinks.

Elle at Chasing Education has selected this time ~ this space for the One Lovely Blog Award.

Here are the rules of the “One Lovely Blog Award”:

I’ve come here after a long time and find a lot of change. Good to see this bright theme and also am a little surprised by the Indian “namaste.” I guess I haven’t been in touch. Been busy with a new blog too.
Thanks for this list TT. I always love to discover new blogs.

      Hi Nita,
Although we have been in touch on blogging issues for some time and I have been reading your blog for years we have never discussed spirituality. I have been a yoga practitioner and a Buddhist for over 25 years. :)

      • 2009 October 19

True, and at first I was a little confused about your identity, Brightfeather and TT. :) Ofcourse you are right. I think I knew this, but I have followed your other blog very regularly, much more regularly than this one. But whenever I visited here, I enjoyed reading the posts here. And now you have this new feature here, about the person’s blog post appearing at the bottom of the comment! I think its intriguing. I never knew one could do this. I wonder if you have written about how to do this on your other blog?

Yes I have two pseudonyms (timethief and brightfeather) and when I first began this blog on my own domain I used “brightfeather” in order to separate it from my blogging tips blog. As time went by I found this was not what I wanted to do.

The new “feature” you are pointing to is not available for wordpress.com blogs as it’s a plugin for wordpress.org installs. It’s called commentluv and can be installed on self hosted wordpress sites like this one.

Thank you very much for a lovely award. I quite assure you that if I knew what I was doing I would do more of it for everyone I could. I’m very glad you are free of the shingles. This is a very debilitating condition. I once watched my mother suffer through it.Knowing that I am at risk, I took the new vaccine for shingles and so far it has worked. I suppose I was born to be a follower of the Buddha’s insights. Most of my life, since, from the earliest times of my life,I couldn’t stop asking why. At this late age in my life, I no longer ask why as such questions have no answer, or as Buddha reminded us, irrelevant, and we must guide our own boat by whatever stars seem reasonable to us. We are what we think. So,I’m doing this blog because I enjoy doing it and because wonderful people like you enjoy it.Thank you. Namaste

      Hello there.
Thanks for accepting the award. I’m happy to hear you will keep the meme going by publishing your own post and sending link love to the new blogs you are reading.

I’m not yet free of Shingles. The lesions are healing and hopefully I will not have another outbreak. Sadly, the vaccine available is only effective if used within the first 3 days and I was not diagnosed until the 5th day of the outbreak.

I’m delighted that you are blogging because if you hadn’t made that choice we would never have met and enjoyed each others company on this our current life journey.

      Namaste

My dear timethief, I have opened a new blog in tumblr following your lead in all things technical and aesthetic. Being the technophobe that I am, I would appreciate any thoughts about this new venture into more blogging. I am having a time trying to master the basics on this one. Thanks.
