You are a blessing to me too. When it comes to trolls and comments that have no value – delete them. If they persist feed them to the spam filter and blacklist them. Life is too short for me to even find enough time to reply to all the great comments I receive. I’m not wasting even a second on trolls.

I have to say that my blog seems to be a troll magnet. As the saying goes if I had a dollar for every troll... I think you make a key point about remaining calm. The minute you get upset, they seem to feed on it and their behaviour gets worse. I shall try to remain calm in the future but somehow I suspect that I will fail.
