Blogger’s Unite
Bloggers Unite is an attempt to harness the power of the blogosphere to make the world a better place. By asking bloggers to write about a particular subject on 1 day of the month, a single voice can be joined with thousands to help make a difference; from raising awareness for cancer, to an effort to better education systems or supporting 3rd world countries.

It’s Monday, November 10th, 2008 and today over 10,000 bloggers worldwide unite to their voices on behalf of millions of  voiceless refugees, people who have no country to call home and the 40 million more who have been displaced due to war and natural disasters. We are asking the world to  join hearts and minds to help bring forward information, understanding and action.

The mission of Refugees United is to help refugees in their search for lost loved ones. The aim is to provide a global, anonymous and dedicated refugee network, to end the torture of not knowing where relatives are in this world.

Refugees United provides refugees with an anonymous forum to reconnect with missing family. By registering with nick- names, scars, former locations and other markers only identifiable to family and close friends, everyone can remain ‘invisible’ to all but relatives. (Please note: Refugees United does not provide physical reunification.)

  • All refugees are welcome, regardless of conflict, place or time.
  • Refugees United is an independent, non-political, non-religious NGO.
  • No third party is involved. No official papers need to be filled in.
  • The service is free of charge and easy to use.
