Living a Fearless Life

oldroad1Refusing to dwell in the world of discouraged thoughts and feelings is the same as opening the door to a new world without limits.

Just start working with who you are now!

In other words, do what’s in your power and refuse to be discouraged about anything else. Keep repeating this new action one step at a time until you’ve walked away from the whole false idea that there’s no further you can go!

Adapted from Guy Finley’s bestseller, The Essential Laws of Fearless Living, here are three special key lessons to help you strengthen and then actualize your wish to live in a world without limits:

  • Any conversation you permit yourself to have with discouraging thoughts guarantees you’ll wind up with a good reason for feeling discouraged.
  • When you know that what you’re looking for is what you already are — and not what you may become — you stand on the threshold of the limitless life.
  • The universe itself is actually set up for you to succeed with realizing the limitless life, which means you are made for whatever happens to you!

    Another good one is to try to start your day with the right attitude too, I do like your affirmations, so much of life is a decision.

    TT, Before I even scrolled down to see the blog mentions, I was nodding my head in silent agreement, whispering hallelujahs and smiling at the positivity in the posting. What an uplifting Monday morning message; especially for the tired and the weary who have an ongoing battle with day-to-day living. A great “shot in the arm” .And what a surprise it was to read further and see my blog included in your listing. Thank You! I am also absolutely thrilled to see many of the blogs I love mentioned also ( this would include yours, of course) . I am a current reader of each of them. BTW, love the pink header. (Wonder why?) - Nards

    This was such an uplifting and inspiring post. I just want to say thanks for the straightforward great advice!

  11. avatar Maria Says:

    I forgot to say that I LOVE the new header on your site!

  12. avatar RainforestRobin Says:

    Hi Dear TT, I am VERY honored to be included with these remarkable people. If I were doing this list I would have to include another amazing blogger who has inspired so many with their courage, fearless outspokenness for the underdog, and beauty wisdom and soul….that would be a woman by the name of TimeThief. YES! YOU! :) This post also reminded me how badly I want to get back to writing about the things I love most, facing fear and living life FULLY! As you know, I’ve been blogging about my trip to Chaco Canyon, which is wonderful and beautiful but I’ve missed my REAL passion…writing posts that inspire…not only others but myself as well. So it was good to see myself here in this light because it reinforced what I’ve been thinking about. I shall finish the last two post on Chaco and then I have some posts I’ve written on love and facing fear. How timely this post is for me. Thank you dear one. RainforestRobin

    “Any conversation you permit yourself to have with discouraging thoughts guarantees you’ll wind up with a good reason for feeling discouraged.”

    I’ve been dealing with this a lot lately. I know if I think and keep positive, I always feel so much better, but dang is it hard to do sometimes!

  14. avatar timethief Says:

    @Lana
    You have been such an inspiration to me and I value our friendship very much. :)

    I’m glad you liked the post. I do recommend the book to you. Also thanks for the header compliment. I don’t change them as frequently as I do my clothes but I get tired of seeing the same one after about 3 days. :)

    @RainforestRobin
    I’m loving your Chaco Canyon posts and I’m sure I will draw much wissdom from your upcoming posts on love and fearless living. Best wishes, my dear friend. :)

    Sometimes my personality does a pendulum swing from one extreme to the other. When I restore balance again I recognize that I need to be more watchful. In the future I’m trying to focus on becoming more aware of the early signs that lead to a personality swing so I can rectify my balance more quickly. Thanks for reading my blog and for commenting. It’s much appreciated. :)

    Dear Nards I am so very happy that you choose to be my friend. I treasure that every day and in every way.

    I knew the pink header would be on your approved list. I have a lavender one coming up soon that I’m pretty sure that you will like too and Jennifer will like too.

    Keep on keeping on, dear one. :)

    Hi there,
    I was just over visiting your blog and was taking in the wonderful poem you posted there. I’m sure that you will find the blogs I have linked to be worthy of a visit. Best wishes to you my friend. :)

  25. avatar the fearless blog Says:

    Delightfully inspiring post! The book you mention sounds fascinating, so perhaps I will read it over the summer.

    I am extremely honored and humbled by the mention for two reasons. First, you have recognized and found value in my work, and “your” mention alone honors me greatly. Secondly, you have included me amongst some incredibly special people that I have grown to care for and admire. May such messages of strength and determination stretch far and wide so that all may know how important it is to “seize the day!”

    It “feels” good to scroll these pages and read. Thank you timethief.

    Thanks so much for honoring me with your friendship.

  27. avatar Ben Hoffman Says:

    Good post! As Roosevelt said: “We have nothing to fear but fear itself.” Fear has been the problem with the US since 9/11. Many people are willing to give up liberties for a little security.

    “They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
    ~ Ben Franklin

    But it also applies to life. Those who are afraid to take chances will never achieve greatness.

  28. avatar timethief Says:

    @Ben Hoffman
    Thanks and I sure do agree with you and Ben Franklin too. :)

  29. avatar AutoGirl Says:

    I made a conscience decision a couple of years ago to not listen to the news or read the paper in the morning. I listen to music or to the birds waking up. This has really helped me start my day out on the right foot in a positive and energetic manner. When you start out your day with bad news from around the world that you can’t do anything about it sucks out your energy and keep fear in the front of your mind.

  30. avatar timethief Says:

    @AutoGirl
    w00t! We are very much alike. I have not listened to news on a regular basis or purchased a newspaper for several years now. I wake up early to the sounds of bird song. Then after a light breakfast I walk either in the forest or on the beach and start my day with a smile on my face. When I arrive back home I make a cup of green tea and turn on lastfm. Then I post my daily affirmation and begin my working day with a positive mindset.

    Thanks for reading my blog and for commenting. I hope you found it interesting enough so that you will return again. Best wishes for happy blogging.
