Hi there cj,
Welcome to the brainiac circle of friends.

I think you meant #4 rather than #5 and I take your point. There was no challenge for me when answering this question. I do not own a single DVD. But why the contrast between the two would be an indication of "braininess" is beyond me.

# 4. Which do you own more of?
    * Books
    * DVDs

All and all these little quizzes are far to general to be reliable. I hope they offer an amusing distraction and respite from reading long and serious blog posts. :-)

I'm another Total Braniac. Looks like I'm in good company. ;) #5 stumped me a bit. I own about as many books as DVDs and I'm not sure why one should be more negative than the other; the kind of films I watch make me think as much as a good book does. Other than that it was fun. Now I just have to live up to the quiz. :)

Yes I am a Total Brainiac, just like you!
A couple of the questions made me think a little, as sometimes I would do one thing, sometime the other. Just depends on what mood I'm in :)

I could have chosen either answer on 6. The question was:
You would rather have:

    * One long project that takes a while to complete
    * Many small projects that you can complete quickly

Well, the way I work on one large project is to break it into smaller chunks and, I do not necessarily work on each chunk in a linear order.

8. When you're facing a huge problem in your personal life, you:

    * Rely on other people to help you solve it
    * Usually end up solving it in some unique way

The only 'huge' problems we face in our personal lives do involve others. I would include the others who actually involved or affected in the solution seeking process but I would not reach beyond that to involving the "uninvolved".

On question 9 I laughed. I haven't been to a movie for so long that I would be glad to see just about anything. :-D

Question 10 was: Are you often interested in how things work?

    * Yes, the mechanics of almost anything are fascinating to you
    * No, that's totally boring

Well, it all depends on what 'it' is doesn't it? Although I may not be interested in the mechanics of internal combustion engines fathoming the mechanics of sewing machines may be fascinating.

My excuse for posting this quiz is that it's manic Monday and that Tuesday is usually a deeper thinking day for me. ;-)

eh. question 6 really bothered me, i don't think your preference of length of problem is any indicator of intelligence, as much as what type of thinker you are. numbers 8 & 10 held similar problems. I scored the same as you, though, so maybe those questions aren't scored as right or wrong.
