Red Dragon Dream

chinese dragonDRAGON DREAMING

To see a dragon in your dream, signifies that you let yourself get carried away by your passion. This kind of behavior may lead you into the hands of enemies. You need to exercise some self-control.

Red Dragons – Due to the color’s red symbolic achievements, these dragons can vary. On one hand, the dragon can be passionate and drive for what he or she does. For instance, they may enjoy terrorizing small towns. On the other, they can be a fire-breathing menace that spew blood and hate around the world. Often, these dragons are known to have a bad temperament.

Many dragons in mythology are red, and many of them that are in poems are red, too. Why? Red has conflicting symbolism: blood, fire, love, and passion. It is easier to put a face on a creature with one or more of these aspects, yes? Poetic compositions especially exaggerate red.

For Eastern Dragons, Red is the color of chaotic storms. The Red dragons are a symbol of the West, and they cause storms when they fight in the night.

The Dream

I was hot, sweating, tired and very thirsty. I had been walking for a long time going up a path to the top of a mountain. I hurt everywhere and I was very frustrated and unhappy. Then I came to a cross roads so I sat down and thought about which path to take. I started along it and I hadn’t gone far when I came around a corner and saw I saw a puff of gray smoke and then a flash of rainbow coloured light.

Suddenly towering over me was a huge red fire breathing dragon with orange glittering eyes sitting on a pile of treasure overflowing from a chest. I was afraid of it but I was determined to move forward so I ran at it shouting and pointing my finger at it. I screamed something at the top of my lungs and the dragon and treasure disappeared into a wispy yellow mist. I looked up and saw sky and sunshine above me and I continued my journey.

  1. Speaking of symbolism, I also notice numbers :) No matter how they come up in my life. Look at the time on this last post, 11:55 and your post before that 9:55. A synchronicity just in the repeat of the 55. But also the 11 and 55 are “master numbers.” You can get a lot of info on them online. I just did a quick search and click on a few links and got the following…

Number 9 : Humanitarian, compassionate, romantic, selfless, generous,
philanthropic, loving, wisdom, idealist, artistic, spiritual healer, all allowing,
    other worldly, blending

Number 55 : Way shower, leader to the light, whole-brain thinking, quantum spirituality, universal mediator, mental telepathy, clairvoyance, ultimate freedom, ultimate oneness, integral consciousness.

Number 11 : Messenger, Inspired, Intuitive, Channeling, Inventive, Mystic, Spriitual, Teacher, Idealistic, Romantic, Artistic, Energetic, Enthusiasm, Angels of creative communication, Christ-like Love, Visionary, Joy-bringer

11/2 – Has to do with yourself, receiving direct information from the higher (11) and sharing it with another (2). It also often requires decision and a detoxing of one’s thoughts in order to create a positive future. It is a very fast paced energy and things change quickly under it’s rule.

55/1 – Has to do with accessing Higher Mind (55) and channeling it through your individuality (1). 55 is a direct line to the mind of God or as some call it, the akashic records. It is calling upon you to responsibly harness and direct the knowledge that is attainable now. There are also changes taking place and many choices ahead. Responsible choices must be made and the route to these is through the Higher Mind. As with all Master number influences, meditation is key here.

Cool, huh? ;) It’s like everything around us has meaning. Such fun :)

  2. Ah, bummer, ya’ lost my “do it” post, lol ;) That’s okay :)

Yep, we do seem to have a lot in common. Awesome, thanks for adding me to your blogroll, I’m gonna add you to mine too.

I’m definitely into symbolism, that’s something I’ve been strongly guided toward — even before being nudged toward the Tarot. It’s very significant, the language of the Universe. But you know that :)

Dreaming is something I haven’t given near enough attention to. I do have a few books and I’ve had some amazing dreams, many precognitive ones, but in general I don’t remember them…or haven’t been in a while. But when I do remember one, it’s often significant. I know all I need to do is ask for a dream and I’ll usually get one…I just never think to ask :) Hmmm, I may share a few of my precognitive ones on my blog.

With regard to symbolism, another of my strong areas of interest is animal totems :) If you haven’t explored that area, maybe we could chat about that sometime.

What I find delicious about all this “woo-woo” stuff (lol) is how it will overlap, tie together and make sense. Like many of my totems are winged ones, and I was given the name “Dove” in a very cool way, and many of the totems overlap in meaning — like my crow and owl totems. Like my astrological sign overlaps into them with the dove totem, and it overlaps into my “life path” number and Tarot archetype. And dragons, I’m sure I’d be a flying one, or do they all fly? :) This is how it all hooked me, and keeps me. The synchronicity of it all.

  3. @dovelove
I apologize for my delayed response. I’m on vacation and on wireless that comes and goes. I’m also very busy and not online as much as usual.

If you’re interested in dreaming, lucid reaming, recording and interpreting symbols in your waking and night-time dreams then you will find lots in this blog by using the term “dreaming” in the searchbox.

I also see this life as a dream and due to your comments and ability to communicate so well through them I find that we have lots in common.

I’m going to add your blog to my blogroll and make the time to read it on a regular basis. I’ll be returning home soon and will be back into a normal rhythm next week. In the interim know that I’m delighted to make a new cyber friend, especially one from the dragon realm. :)

YUCK! I just approved another comment from you that demonstrated that you comprehend the red dragon – passion – sex connection but for some reason it is not appearing on my blog …. SSHHHWOOSH – SHE exhales a fiery breath and prepares to email support.

  4. Uh, maybe I should go further to explain that I see this life as a “dream” and consequently when I see a symbol over and over again, like the dragon this morning, I take that as a message just as if I saw it in a night dream :) In fact, if it’s something unusual that I see in the physical (like seeing a clown upon walking out one’s front door), I immediately take that as a symbolic message to me. The key is that it’s unusual or not something you’d generally see on a typical day. It’s fascinating, the many different ways the Universe speaks to us :)

  5. Hmm, I’m getting a lot of dragon “hits” this morning (aka, seeing it around several places on this site). I haven’t learned that much about dragons (I want to though) but I was told several years ago that I’m from the dragon realm, which sounds kinda cool, heh ;)

That message in bold certainly seems to apply, I do often get carried away with my passion. And I was recently trying to share a message with those that were definitely not like-minded (“enemies”). Sometimes I have such little-girl thinking, “Why wouldn’t they believe me?” lol … by the same token, I can breathe fire if backed into a corner ;)

Please leave your comment here as I treasure every one I receive.
