I doubt that the “joke” would have any impact whatsoever on the folks you refer to. And I’m assuming that the many Christian women who have been abused due to the biblical mandate for female submission would not consider this to be a laughing matter.

I am so confused.
As serious Christians, Dawn and I are Domestic Discipline zealots,, but we have some doubts. Where can we can authoritive guidance from people without their agendas.
We welcome sincere feedback from those not selling clothes or books.
Dawn is due for her quarterly super maintainence tomorrow night. She accepts her submissive role. However, I even though I am very strict with her, I have these nagging doubts because her behavior is A+ and mine is not. Should I be punished or should we abandon this CDD which has improved our marriage so much?

As serious Christians I’m wondering why on earth would you be asking a Buddhist this question. I thought the Christian solution to every question ever asked was: “get on your knees and talk to THE MAN”. When it comes to addressing your preoccupation with punishment, if that doesn’t suffice then, perhaps you could try flagellating yourself with “THE GOOD BOOK”. As a last resort, I’m sure if you looked hard enough, you could find a crossbar somewhere to hang from.
